Situated close to Pretoria and Johannesburg, Jobedi boasts beautiful scenery characterised by distinct sand stone rock formations.
Original Bushman caves & rock art dating back 1 500 years, can be seen en-route.
Die roete:
The routes, suitable for both 4x2 and 4x4 vehicles respectively, travel across a 6 800ha game farm in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve. There are four trail options, all in semi-mountainous terrain, all marked with gorges and ravines.
The 4x4 option is a relatively hard-core and demanding route best suited to those not afraid of spending the whole day negotiating a trail.
The routes go through scenic surroundings, crossing rivers, steep ascents and descents, loose rock,open savannah plains and bush that varies from pristine to ravine.

I have now completed the Jobedi, Melkriver 4x4 route twice and every time find it highly challeging as a hard core 4x4 route with two sesions that only sports a grade 5 rating where you need to fillup with rocks to get to the top. Stunning destination Trevor and Sharon are stunning hosts and know the farm extreemly well. It is well worth a visit.
